As mod_h264_streaming is being picked up (in linux distro’s, by developers – and it’s used in Jeroen’s player too), we also got some feedback it might be cool/nice to be able to do ‘live streaming’.

• a client/server approach
• a lightppd plugin/server approach

It seems you need a some sort of a small server: the video producer (be it some live source, or a ‘roll’ (a set of files played in a loop)) and a client – this could be a lighttpd plugin …
